The LED (and Laser) Museum has lost almost EVERYTHING!!! :-(
Update 01-15-17
All of our belongings stored in two (2) storage lockers have been lost -- the contents of both storage units were auctioned off sometime within the last several days for nonpayment of rent!
This includes my bedroom furniture (my bed, night table, lamps, etc.), my $10,000.00+ electric wheelchair, all of my clothes, almost all (98% anyway) of my flashlights, task lights, lasers, R/C aircraft, miscellaneous products, my beloved GE AR-1 argon glow bulb, all of my vintage, rare, and antique LEDs, two hard-sided memorabilia cases with old photographs, magazines with lengthy articles about me or my website, etc. -- the more I think about what was in there, the sadder I become.
All I have left are my Arc-LS Prototype flashlight, my 2003 Arc AAA "CPF Special" light, a rechargeable UVA "cat piss detector" from Advancedmart, my Skytech green directly-injected Class IV laser, a blue-emitting portable laser, two laptop computers, my Ocean Optics USB2000 spectrometer, my LaserBee USB 2.0 laser power meter, and a couple of busted drones.

Update 07-07-16
Oh s**t!!! Looks like we fell prey to a Craigslist scambag!!!
The a-hole made off with our money and now we are officially homeless. We're looking to check into a welfare motel approx. 65 miles (104.65 km) north of here, but that will soon drain our money and then we'll be truly SOL.

I'll be losing the vast majority of my belongings soon. :-(
Update 02-03-16
We may have found a place, but I'm going to have to dispose of approx. 90% to 95% of my belongings. :-(
The reason is that we're going to be moving into a much smaller space, and our storage facility is already filled to capacity. I'll be keeping my prototype Arc LS flashlight, most of my lasers, most (or all) of my SureFire flashlights, all of my test equipment, at least three of my computers, some of my R/C flying machines, and most of my clothes & bedroom furniture -- but I'll have to get rid of the rest.

The LED (and Laser) Museum's housing situation has gone to pot again. :-(
Update 01-22-16
My housing situation is going to pot yet again.
The reason is that my sister is moving out on 06-30-16, and between my mother and myself, our combined incomes are too low to support a rental; and both of us have crappy credit scores that would dissuade most potential landlords from renting to us.

The LED (and Laser) Museum's housing situation has gone to pot again! :-(
Update 06-26-15
My housing situation has just gone to pot yet again.
The landlord was here to have us sign a new lease on 06-14-15, and they're only renewing the lease until 12-31-15 -- that means we have until New Year's Eve to get our butts out of here and into another place -- which could pose a problem because none of us have any money (all three of us are overdrawn in our bank accounts) and none of us are sufficiently creditworthy to pass muster with another landlord.

THE LED (AND LASER) MUSEUM'S HOUSING IS NO LONGER CRITICAL!!!
Update 06-10-14
YIPEE!!! WE FOUND A PLACE!!!
It is in Shelton WA. USA and we can begin moving our {vulgar slang term for caca} in by 06-14-14!

Update 03-29-14
My housing situation has just become very critical!!!
My stepbrother, who serves as my late aunt's POA, has just announced that this home is now being sold!!! Since the lease was in my aunt's name, there's really nothing that can be done to stop it. We have until June 01 2014 to find new digs.
None of us have sufficient incomes or credit scores to get a new mortgage or even rent an apartment.
We're going to look for & hire an attorney this coming Monday (03-31-14) to try and get things straightened out, but there are no guarantees here.

My aunt Voni has become worm food. :-(
Update 03-16-14
My aunt Voni quietly passed away Thursday morning (03-13-14) ; I went into her room to give her some meds at approx. 9:10am PDT and noted that she had no respiration or palpable pulse, and the skin on her face felt unusually cool to the touch. I attached an automatic blood pressure cuff "just to be sure it's Westinghouse" (as my deceased best friend used to say) and was not able to obtain a reading of any type. I quickly got on the blower with my mother and had her come right away.
Guess I'll be coding another memorial web page within the next week or so.
I really hate having to do that; but doing just that ensures that memories of her will live imperpetuity {yeah, I'm sure I spelled that one correctly!}

Guess what? :-(
During my dr. visit on 10-30-13, I learned that I have Type 2 diabetes.
He started me on metformin (a diabetes med), and prescribed me a glucometer (blood glucose meter) plus lancets & test strips.
Apparently the doctor knew this since 11-15-12 (just a couple of weeks short of a year ago!), but the appointment I was supposed to be at got missed because that was the day my aunt had her heart attack.

The LED (& Laser) Museum may be moving yet ***AGAIN!!!***
Update 07-29-12
Looks like I ***MAY*** be "on the move" again within the next six months.
The reason is because my sister is moving out, and our incomes will be insufficient to pay the mortgage and bills -- let alone food for us & the cats.
Moving is not a certainty, but it ***IS*** a distinct possibility!!!

Update 02-27-12
Update 02-27-12
A number of you have emailed me asking if I can perform spectroscopy of the sun from my new "digs"...the answer, unfortunately...is no.
Here are a couple of photographs taken out my window...drumroll please...and viola (or "walla" if you prefer to be incorrect)
(Looking straight out)

Update 11-12-11
Update 11-12-11
I must have spoken too soon regarding the last entry being my final one on my website (and in this weblog)...the buyer of the home (my stepmother's sis) and my stepmother are now arguing about various things concerning the house, including such things as rights of survivorship and the lease my stepmother signed -- we could now be legally evicted at any time.

Update 10-04-11
This will very likely be my last entry on this particular weblog using the title "THE LED MUSEUM IS MOVING SOON"...the move went swimmingly, and only one thing of mine became broken.

Update 09-23-11
Update 09-23-11
I guess I jumped the gun a bit...THIS will be my last entry from my present location; if everything progresses as it should (and so far, so good), I will be at the new location in approximately 35 hours as of this writing (5:01am PDT 09-23-11).
I'll be dismantling the computer system a bit later today.
If there's an unsecured wireless connection that my receiver can pick up at the new place, I may be able to post an "I've arrived" update on my laptop computer sometime on Saturday 09-24-11; but anything that involves money (such as Ebay, Paypal, my bank, etc.) will still be unavailable, as I would never input passwords to financial institutions and other sites that deal with anything "money" on an unsecured network. But if there is no wireless connection that my receiver can get, then you won't hear from me for at least several days.

Update 09-22-11
This will very likely be my last entry from my present location; if everything progresses as it should, I will be at the new location in approximately 60 hours as of this writing (4:09am PDT 09-22-11).
Internet access at the new location should be established relatively quickly; as my sister needs it rather badly for her schoolwork and (of course) I have a large website that has daily updates.

Update 09-18-11
Update 09-18-11
No new testing or analyses will be done on flashlights, lasers, LEDs, or other products on my website (www.ledmuseum.org) until well after I've moved into the new place and gotten some things unpacked.
This is primarily because I've already packed up my test instruments for transport:
Spectrometer
Beam cross-sectional analyser
Photometer
Laser power meters
DMMs
etc.

Update 09-17-11
Update 09-17-11
The move has been moved back (yes, sooner now) to 09-25-11.
This is because the house is finally "closing", and we'll save some $$$ on rent here by moving in a week earlier.

Update 09-16-11
Update 09-16-11
The move has been postphoned again until 10-01-11 due to some minor complications with the lease on our current residence.
The move ***WILL*** still take place; it has simply been delayed by two weeks.

Update 09-09-11
Update 09-09-11
The deal is off the table -- therefore, the move will not begin early as had been planned for a brief time.

Update 09-08-11
Update 09-08-11
The move could begin as early as later this afternoon; the buyer is in negotiations with the seller to allow us to begin moving in approx. a week early.

Update 09-04-11
Update 09-04-11
Internet access could be lost at ***ANY TIME*** now; it is very likely going to be early-October 2011 before I can get back online. So if you emailed me after today and have yet to receive a reply, this is the probable reason.

Update 08-29-11
Update 08-29-11
Here is an exterior photograph of the new place:
This location is *SOMEWHERE* in western Washington; that's about as much info. I can divulge at this time. So the move will not be a long-distance pain in the diodes as it were.
This is a single-story home; no stairs for anybody to deal with.
The only possible fly in the ointment here is that I'll have to park my scooter on the covered patio; when winter comes I'll have to wrap the batteries in an electric blanket and turn the blanket to "low" so that the batteries don't freeze and subsequently become queered.
